New Research on Canadian Evangelicalism

I’m on vacation for one more week and will post some new stuff after that.

In the meanwhile, however, here is a link to several excellent articles on evangelical Christianity in Canada: one deals with demographics of a representative range of congregations; another deals with measures of pastoral well-being; and the last looks in detail at the spending of congregations on education.

The authors are sociologists Sam Reimer of Crandall University and Michael Wilkinson of Trinity Western University, along with the Director of the Centre for Research for Canadian Evangelicalism (CRCE), Rick Hiemstra.

It’s high-quality work and provides actual information where previously there has been only anecdote and intuition. Again, check it out here at the website for the CRCE, a division of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.
